First Visit
We are a family oriented dental office and see patients of all ages. As soon as your child has teeth, it’s important to have him/her come see us and start to become comfortable with dental visits. When baby teeth are just coming out, it may seem like they’re in great condition. Baby teeth have very thin enamel and if decay starts, it can quickly spread in the tooth and to the rest of the teeth in the mouth. If baby teeth fall out or are pulled out early, a child can lose valuable space and then have crowded teeth down the line.
We understand the importance of dental education, prevention, and the need for good nutrition in a child’s diet. Starting at a young age, routine dental care starts a child off on the right path to a health future. We believe heavily in preventive services such as sealants and fluoride.
We understand how scary new experiences, especially medical ones, can be for little ones. It’s completely normal for a child to be unsure or nervous about their first dental visit, but at our dental practice, they don’t have to be. We take special care to turn your child’s visit into a positive memory so they can look forward to their future visits.
Laughing Gas
If your child is anxious, has special needs, or just needs extra help staying calm and comfortable, we may recommend laughing gas. Laughing gas is a completely safe way to help children receive the dental care they need without anxiety or fear.
Once the dental treatment is over, the gas will be completely out of their system after just a few minutes. Laughing gas is widely considered to be low risk for kids and adults.
